The Kangaroo Strop is an effective method for giving a final polish to a cutting edge when using a Hapstone or Edge Pro knife sharpener. It improves the cutting edge by smoothing out grooves and correcting small nicks. The strop's working surface is made of vegetable-tanned kangaroo leather and is mounted on a 5mm thick aluminum blank. Color variations do not affect the stropping process. Working with kangaroo leather is similar to working with cow leather. Carefully glide the cutting edge over the strop, repeating the motion 20-30 times for each side of the blade. It's important to avoid damaging the leather with the cutting edge during this process.
